Tempo Libero carried out a survey addressed to European young people who took part in 2016 in international mobility projects in Brescia. The survey was aimed at analyzing the impact of the internship experience in Italy on the participants’ future.
Through its international mobility department, Tempo Libero acts as an intermediary organization of internships in Brescia for European young people under Erasmus+ and TLN Mobility programs.
In 2016 we hosted 306 European trainees from different countries within the Union. After about one year from their experience in Italy, we asked them to answer some questions aimed at understanding the impact of the internship on their future.
In summary, the results show that a work placement abroad has a great importance for accessing the labor market and for participants’ personal growth.
Here are some of the most significant data from this survey. To the question “How much did your experience in Italy influence your professional skills”, the 76% of participants answered “Much or very much”. The 88% claimed that the internship also increased their personal skills.
The internship also helped the 70% of the participants to acquire new skills. Only the 6% claimed that they have not acquired any of them. Spending a period of internship abroad helped the 47% of the participants increasing their social skills. Finally, the experience was so good for most of the participants that the 71% of them encouraged friends and acquaintances to carry out an internship abroad.
